Global Warming 'Urgent Threat,' Clinton
Warns Polar Nations.
""Global warming has already had enormous
effects on our planet, and we have no time to lose in tackling this crisis,"
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told the first-ever joint session of
the Arctic Council and the Antarctic Treaty Consultative Meeting, which
opened its two-week conference today."
We agree, those growing ice shelves in both
the Arctic and Antarctic are certainly enormous.

Cows with Gas: India's Global-Warming Problem.
"Indolent cows languidly chewing their cud
while befuddled motorists honk and maneuver their vehicles around them is an
image as stereotypically Indian as saffron-clad holy men and the Taj Mahal.
Now, however, India's ubiquitous cows — of which there are 283 million, more
than anywhere else in the world — are assuming a more menacing role as they
become part of the climate-change debate."
The article goes on to tell us how underweight
and poorly fed all these cows are. Because of this they create even more
greenhouse gasses. But on April 21st (see below) we're told fat people add
to greenhouse gasses. So for the record fat people and skinny cows are bad
for the planet. Let's take all the fat peoples food and give it to the cows,
problem solved.

Change is a cold certainty.
"Russian sea captain
Dimitri Zinchenko has been steering ships through the pack ice of Antarctica
for three decades and is waiting to see evidence of the global warming about
which he has heard so much.
Zinchenko's vessel, the Spirit of Enderby, was commissioned in January last
year to retrace the steps of the great Antarctic explorer Ernest Shackleton,
marking the century of his Nimrod expedition of 1907-09.
Spirit of Enderby was blocked by a wall of pack ice at the entrance to the
Ross Sea, about 400km short of Shackleton's base hut at Cape Royds.
Zinchenko says it was the first time in 15 years that vessels were unable to
penetrate the Ross Sea in January. The experience was consistent with his
impression that pack ice is expanding, not contracting, as would be expected
in a rapidly warming world. "I see just more and more ice, not less ice."
This global warming denier
obviously hasn't heard that global warming causes temperature drops and
massive ice flows as it wreaks it's imaginary havoc on the world.

Do Fat People Cause Global Warming?
"The rising number of fat people was blamed
for global warming on Monday.
Scientists warned that the increase in big eaters means more food production
— a major cause of CO2 gas emissions warming the planet.
Overweight people are also more likely to drive, adding to environmental
damage."
How long before we're told we have to restrict
our breathing to reduce global warming. No running, exercise or anything
else that might increase our metabolic rate. Probably best to just sit in
front of the computer and play fantasy games. Oh wait, that's probably the
cause of all the obesity in the first place. Oh well, we're doomed either
way. Might as well open up the fridge and let the cold air spill out while
making a Dagwood sandwich and enjoy!
